I’m so excited i got an opportunity to interview the talented multi-award winning hairstylist and an Educator Lisa Farrall from Derbyshire. I fell in love with her armour collection which is about embracing and empowering women, also highlighting the beauty, strength of the female and reminding them that with great hair they can conquer the world!

Check out the collection and interview below:

Make-up Artist:

When did you start doing people’s hair?

I started 17 years ago in a local salon, I used to go there on Fridays and Saturdays after school, you can say that’s where it all started. It was a hobby and a great way to make extra pocket money until it became a passion and enabled me to channel my creativity.

What do you specialize in?

I specialise in all Hair and education but I love working within AFRO Hair. I recently launched an academy called WIG LONDON where I do training from cutting , colouring to session styling. Education is a big passion of mine and I love to educate people on AFRO Hair and I love using Hair as a material and creating art.

Do you name your clients crowns?

I have silly names all the time that randomly come to mind when I’m doing a style, for me it’s more about channeling your inner goddess as my saying goes,

Hair is your armour, and with great hair you can conquer the world!’

How do you stay consistent?

It’s important to stay inspired and to stay relevant,it’s all about loving what you do buy staying up to date on what’s going on in the world. If I can deliver a message, show great detail and provoke you to make you stand up and think, then I have done a good job!

What would you like to see change in the hair business?

I would like to see my academy go global and in turn salons all over the U.K. doing Afro and European hair. I want to see females walking into any salon and booking an appointment without the awkward conversation of …. can you do my hair?

Name people that own their crowns unapologetically

What does owning your crown mean to you?

Feeling empowered , changing the way you walk and feeling untouchable.

Describe your crown personality

I’m a leader and I like to lead unapologetically and my crown is always bold, loud and sexy!
